My Gratitude List - 2020
What a year it’s been for small business owners. For someone running a new business when the pandemic hit and wanting to create new initiatives during a recession, I am so grateful for the people who’ve contributed their times, insights, ear, and encouragement that’s made all the difference.
So much so that I wanted to take a moment before signing off for a break to say a huge thank you to these amazing human beings.
Ruth Anslow - Couldn’t have imagined a better partner in crime and bringing The Good Business Club to life with you has been such a pleasure. Every moment I spend with you is one that contributes to my own personal journey and your belief in me even when I have none for myself has helped me dig deep in the toughest of times. Thank you 🙏
Beth Mardon - You took a real gamble this year in all areas of your life, including joining our mission to support small, good businesses, and for that, I’m so grateful. Your bravery is an inspiration and I know I’m going to learn so much from being in your presence, which is such a gift. Here’s to big leaps in 2020! 🤟
Kristina Perekaite - Finding someone who’s so similar in the world of work is a rarity and I’m grateful to call you a friend. Your ambition, curiosity and openness to discover has rubbed off and kept me focused and energised even when things were blurry. Thank you for showing up and being you every day. 💪
Rob Alcroft - We’ve not known each other for years but I feel like we’ve had conversations that some people never have with people closest to them. Thank you for showing me what strength and leadership looks like and for all your input in helping us grow The Good Business Club team. 🙌
Fox Geere - A coach? Mentor? Advisor? There isn’t a word for what role you’ve played in my journey. The space you offer and insights you share has given me the opportunity to stop and breath, think outside the box and shift my mindset forever. I wouldn’t be achieving what I am without your contribution, so thank you. 🤟
Alice Reeves - Your honesty and self-expression have always been an inspiration to me, and this year you’ve helped me connect with my own on a deeper level. Thank you for giving me the encouragement and platform to own and express a part of me that I locked away. It’s had a profound impact on my ability to connect, something that’s so important to me. 🥳
Declan Reddington - Thank you for the opportunity to have a bigger and bolder impact on my mission to support purpose-led entrepreneurs to create sustainable businesses. You’ve taken a gamble with The Good Business Roadmap Programme and I’m grateful and excited about the opportunity this gives me to level up what I’m up to. 🙌
Michael Ryan - Even when the word is turning upside down, you’ve created the time for me. Thank you. Your time and insights have given me confidence in an area I felt lacking, which has helped me dream big and go and get it. 🙏
Tom Dawkins - The year’s not panned out as we’d planned but I am so grateful for the opportunity you gave me to contribute to your mission. In even a short space of time I learned a lot about managing a good business and creating a culture where innovation flourishes. Let’s see where 2021 takes us, eh? 🤟
And to each and every one of The Good Business Club members who’ve shown up, been vulnerable, believing in something bigger than themselves, or just cracked on. You’ve inspired me, given me the permission to be okay with not being okay, and energized me each week which has made all the difference. This year, you’ve really proved that together, we can all grow good businesses. 🙌
