My Gratitude List - 2021

My focus for 2021 was to ‘level up’ in all areas of my life and on reflecting on where I was this time last year, I am proud to say I’ve done that in my business - The Good Business Club. But I couldn’t have achieved what I have this year professionally without the contribution of amazing people around me whom I’d like to acknowledge.

A huge thank you to these amazing human beings:

  1. Kate Shields - You have been every founder’s dream. Someone who is as passionate and committed to my vision and mission and actually makes it a reality. I’m so impressed with what you are capable of and so glad to be part of your team.

  2. Declan Reddington - You took a risk and it made this year possible. I’m excited to show you exactly what you’ve enabled over the next few months.

  3. Ben Bennett - It was kind of like when I knew I had a challenge, you were right there ;) I knew to level up this year personally I would have to focus on commercialisation and sales and you made it so much easier than I had imagined. After attending the Ocra programme, I finally feel clear and focused, with a plan that I trust as it’s already proving valuable.

  4. Veronika Wootton - It is rare to meet people who are just on the same page as you, and you are one of those for me. Enriching my world in many ways and I am so grateful for the invitation to host the Build Better Business podcast series. A huge milestone for my career.

  5. Fox Geere - Another year with you by my side as a sounding board, confidant, and champion. Seeing what habits and mindset shifts come so naturally to me now has made me realise just how much I’ve leveled up.

  6. Nicola Telford - I’ve been so impressed by your motivation and honesty and it’s been a pleasure to be on this startup journey with you. You were the catalyst to the start of The Good Business RECONNECT event series, which has leveled up the business tenfold.

  7. Sam Thomas - Never has a partnership been so aligned and therefore easy to create. A true entrepreneur, after one conversation we’d hatched up a plan and made one of my visions for the Club a reality - a ‘Good Business’ section in a renowned business magazine where good business can share insights, approaches, and their own lessons to inspire other businesses to do things differently.

  8. Will Saunders - If Nicola was the catalyst, you were the ambassador ready to “volunteer as tribute”. Ever since being connected on Twitter, I’ve admired your perseverance and clear articulation of your mission. So when you said “hells yes” to hosting the second RECONNECT event in Leeds, I knew it would be a hit - which it most definitely was.

  9. Kristina Pereckaite - I don’t know how I’d get anything done without all of our accountability Clubs. This would be a lonely journey without you and I truly believe communicating every celebration and challenge with you has allowed me to gain a fresh perspective and unlock something new in my approach.

  10. Luke Mitchell - Your invitation to join the Sussex Universities’ team as the first Entrepreneur in Residence was an external marker this year that made it clear to me that I really have leveled up. I’ve said it before but it’s a huge honor to be contributing back to a community that shaped me and I am so looking forward to all we've got planned for the New Year.
