Laurence Johnson, Sussex Sea Farm on 1-2-1 Mentoring

"As founder of Sussex Sea Farm, my reason for getting into business was to do something positive in society and help address the climate crisis. However, from a business perspective, I needed help as this was all new to me.

I kept hearing about The Good Business Club and after doing some research I reached out to Sara to see if she could help me with launching my own good business.

From my first session with Sara, I was blown away by her understanding that for a lot of business owners like myself, running a business is more than just creating money. It is about values, giving back to society, and creating something we can be genuinely proud of.

Sara guided me through all areas of development of the business, from working out the business structure and funding model to step-by-step guidance as I wrote my business plan. As someone new to starting up a business, these things can be daunting but with Sara's help and constant positive advice, I managed to negotiate all the challenges and new areas I got stuck into. I genuinely look forward to our one-to-one sessions each week where I can share ideas or new developments and get her objective feedback.

Due to the help Sara has given me we are now on track to running the ethical and sustainable business I intended when I started, working alongside other exciting and like-minded businesses with whom she has connected us with.

I would absolutely recommend anyone who needs support with their business to get in contact with Sara as it is absolutely the best decision I made for myself and my business.“
